OUR HISTORY

Metropolitan Education Group, a fast growing group of Educational Institution , conducts specialsed courses to Fulfill the needs of Airlines, Fashion, Interiors (a segment of the Housing), Hospitality, Retailing, Retail Banking, Insurance, Events & Promotions and Information Technology, sectors of the Indian Industry
Established in 1991, then a scenario, when private airlines were proliferating, created a need for Airline personnel. So we started our First Short term course - INFLIGHT MANAGEMENT & SERVICE - for young girls and boys aspiring to become Airhostesses & Flight pursers. Having received tremendous response from young aspirants and airlines, We started GROUND HOSTESS & TRAFFIC ASSISTANT COURSES too. Having monitored the Fashion Scene for a long time to the present fast changing lifestyles, we felt the need of a Fashion Designing course with Hi-Fashion designing trends in special focus. Hi-Fashion is enjoying a boom time now. In order to cater to this fast growing field, ACADEMY OF FASHION (AOF) was established. Then, AOF became India's only export oriented Fashion Institute - to train & develop prospective youngsters in the faculty of HI-FASHION DESIGNING - a SHORT TERM COURSE - which fully prepares a student for the export market. Later, A boom in the Construction Industry, made us to start a course in INTEROR DESIGNING, which has been doing well, with more than 700 students having already passed out - in a short span of 18 months.
Metropolitan Education Center (MEC) at this juncture, is well established with its own a/c premises, situated at the heart of "OXFORD OF MUMBAI" - i.e. VILEPARLE.
METROPOLITAN EDUCATION CENTER's high flying divisions "Academy of Fashion & Academy of Interiors" have recently accepted another glittering star in their wings, through International affiliation with PARIS AMERICAN ACADEMY, FRANCE for incorporating advanced techniques is Fashion & Interior designing courses.
Since then, METROPOLITAN EDUCATION CENTER's phenomenal growth has been the envy of many in India. Our tie-up had boosted the status of our institute in India and our Institute was approached by a lot of Fashion House/Garment manufacturing units - offering job placements and assignments to our students who had successfully completed our Diploma  courses. The start of the year 1999 had been very progressive with commencement of courses at our inducted division 'Academy of Flying'. This division was all set to train prospective young girls and boys into becoming commercial / private pilots - through their CPL&PPL courses.
Than, Metropolitan education center had set its sunshine over the proliferating Hotel Industry and its every needing requirement of quality and efficient personnel to service it.
Fortunately, Coinciding with the celebration of  " VISIT INDIA YEAR " announced by the tourism ministry of Govt. of India and subsequently, additional flow of tourist arrivals, it was expected to exert pressure on the hotel Industry as a Whole.
To ease the Industry from the shortage of personnel both immediate and future, Metropolitan Education Group established its Hotel Management and Catering Technology division to commence hospitality management courses.
Then, under a new identity, METROPOLITAN INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT & CATERING TECHNOLOGY - commenced its operation in the year 2000 both in Mumbai & Pune with the support of distinguished Hotel and Airline industry personalities on its faculty panel.
Now, with phenomenal growth and success Metropolitan Education Group one again is all set to establish its foothold in the new emerging management sectors of the Indian Industry. E-Commerce Management and E-Commerce Technology.
With the new identity, Metropolitan Institute of Management with its fast tracks career oriented courses in the new emerging sectors of the new millennium, has received overwhelming support from the respective sectors of the above maintained focus area. The Institute has sprawling campus with all required infrastructure conductive to learning.
Our Trump Card is that we are one of the private education group in Mumbai and Pune - recognised and approved by the Indian Industry.
